Started Chicks - under construction

I sell started chicks for $25.00 each. They are 6 to 8 weeks old and they are sexed.   I normally ship Priority but will ship Expresss upon request, but it is more expense to the buyer.  I use Bio Secure boxes, specially made for shipping poultry.  These boxes have gone up in price since I last ordered them.  Unfortunately, I need to pass that cost on to the customer.  They now cost $10.00 each and I attach the hole coverings myself.  At the age of 6 to 8 weeks, we can put two chicks in a box comfortably, with a divider that I make.  Once they get a little older, they need more room in their box.  I usually put cedar shavings in the bottom, corn-on-the-cob and/or apple pieces in for their moisture and food needs during the trip.  The cost to ship one box is just under $20.00.
